Cleveringa meetings

The Leiden University Fund (LUF), together with the Cleveringa Committee, organises a series of Cleveringa meetings every year to commemorate Rudolph Cleveringa's speech. On 26 November 1940 he protested againtst the dismissal of two Jewish colleagues.

More than 40 locations

The lectures are given by Leiden academics in cities throughout the world. Most lectures are in Dutch, but some are in English, for example the ones in Cairo, New York, Osaka, Straatsburg, St. Petersburg and Tokyo.
