What's the best way to bring Dutch and international students closer together? It's an important topic for Leiden University, so we're keen to have your ideas. Enter the competition for the best Cultural Interaction Initiative and share your ideas with us.
At Leiden University you will meet people from different backgrounds and nationalities, with different cultures and speaking different languages. We are proud to say that they are what makes Leiden University a truly cosmopolitan university.
We firmly believe that diversity promotes excellence. This is one of the reasons why the Van Bergen Fund is organising a competition for the best Cultural Interaction Initiative again this year. The prize will be awarded to the group or organisation that submits the best plan for an activity aimed at promoting contacts between Dutch and international students within the Leiden academic community. Both students and staff are encouraged to enter the competition.
Financial support will be made available from the Van Bergen Fund (up to a maximum of 5,000 euros) to put the best Cultural Interaction Initiative into practice.
The winners will be announced during the 'Excellence through Diversity' symposium on 7 November 2013.
