Leiden University, TU Delft and Erasmus University Rotterdam work together in numerous areas in education, research and valorisation. In the Strategic Alliance, established in 2012, the three universities are building on this and intensifying their existing collaboration. In the future, the alliance will continue to take shape in areas in which it offers added value and where the universities complement and reinforce each other.
The Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre for Education and Learning will launch its first three training modules for lecturers from these three universities in February, and will focus on online elements in education such as active and blended learning, videos and digital assessment. ‘Online learning forces people to take a fresh look at their education.’

On 15 September 2014, the three Presidents of the Executive Boards of Leiden University, TU Delft, and the Erasmus University Rotterdam signed the Joint Regulations of the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Strategic Alliance.
